The Calfkicks are a high-energy surf rock band based between Japan and Australia, known for their raw sound, loud guitars, and no-compromise attitude.

 

Blending garage rock, punk spirit, and classic rock influences, their music is driven by powerful riffs, fast rhythms, and a stripped-back, honest approach to performance. Whether on stage or in the studio, The Calfkicks focus on capturing the intensity and authenticity of real rock’n’roll.

 

In March 2026, the band performed as the opening act for legendary Japanese rock band Guitar Wolf (ギターウルフ) on the Gold Coast, Australia.

 

Beyond music, the band is deeply connected to visual culture, with a strong identity shaped through photography, live shows, and a DIY mindset. Their work reflects a lifestyle rooted in cars, guitars, and underground scenes.

 

In 2026, The Calfkicks will introduce a new three-piece unit, Calfkicks Surf Breaker, delivering a faster, simpler, and more direct surf rock sound. The new project is set to debut within the year.
